Growing Leaders of Tomorrow

棋牌游戏平台, our steadfast 承诺 to growing leaders of character begins from the very first days a student is with us. Our early childhood program places a pervasive, intentional focus on decision-making, 协作, and ‘being one’s Berkeley Best.’ Regardless of their entry point, the children in our care are guided to be good citizens, make brave choices, and understand the impact of their actions on others. As students develop, they are en勇气d to take risks and ‘fail forward’—and to at all times act with discipline, 勤奋, 和完整性.

Berkeley offers countless opportunities (both inside and outside the classroom) to build leadership skills, and students relish these offerings. The traits and characteristics that foster leadership—including passion, 承诺, 乐观, positive energy, 善良, 尊重, a desire for excellence, 勇气, and the ability to empathetically connect with others—are, 事实上, our core cultural norms, and they are expected of each student as they go through our school.

In Middle and Upper Division, students have the chance to serve as 俱乐部 leaders, Student Forum leaders, team captains, Spiritual Life leaders, leaders within our various performing arts ensembles等等. All students are called upon to understand their responsibility to contribute to the collective (after all, we are the community we create), as well as make a positive difference in the world.

Berkeley’s configuration as a pre-k through twelfth grade school on one campus copiously supports our work in leadership development; our older students are inspired to work with and be role models for our younger ones. This vertical integration is a hallmark of our school—as a result, school pride and school spirit radiate across our 86 acres.

As our students move through high school, the chances to lead increase significantly, and we offer various trainings to ensure their success. 例如, the Student-Athlete Leadership Program prepares varsity captains for the challenges of leading a team, and the Leadership Academy at Berkeley (LAB) is required of all students hoping to hold a campus leadership position during their senior year. The LAB program includes both classroom and experiential components, pushing students to examine their strengths and recognize their ability to guide others for good.

Berkeley Preparatory School: growing leaders of impact; growing leaders of integrity; growing leaders of character.
